Mashup origins and tools

Here are two great articles from Developer.com that cover the history of mashups and discuss the tools that are available to create a mashup.

Web and Enterprise Mashups for Web Services and Data — Developer.com http://bit.ly/1aEcEN

Implementing Visual and Data Mashups Online — Developer.com http://bit.ly/pNXzs

Please note the Microsoft Popfly mashup tool and Google Mashup Editor are no longer available, they both do suggest newer alternatives on thier sites that hopefully allow similar or greater functionality.
